The Science of Music Therapy

Music therapy is based on theories and models of neuroscience, as well as cognitive, behavioral and emotional theories. There is a growing body of evidence to support the efficacy of music therapy in mental health treatment and care. I hope to give an outline of the theories that support music therapy and a brief overview of the evidence behind music therapy in mental health treatment.
